Planned Parenthood

This man knows Christ.

“First, I would love to pay taxes so as to have a normal life, however, our government is using the tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood; which commits abortions – the death of the innocent,” Bowman said. “Apparently, a woman has the right to choose, but evidently, I do not.”

He also took aim at the common rejoinder that every American citizen has to pay taxes for things with which they might personally disagree, such as war. “You see, the Constitution grants certain abilities to the government, e.g. funding the military, but killing children is not a Constitutional backed, compelling interest of the government by any stretch of the imagination,” Bowman explained.

Planned Parenthood receives more than $500 million per year from the federal government, and performs more than 300,000 abortions. Federal law forbids taxpayer dollars from being directly spent on abortions, though pro-life groups argue that the money still enables abortion facilities to grow their reach and influence, and spend more revenue from other sources on abortions.

“All the government has to do is put a check box on the tax forms that says check here to support Planned Parenthood, and write in your donation amount,” Bowman proposed. “Then, just like any church or charity, Planned Parenthood will be funded by those that have no problem with it, and the 150 million people like me that are pro-life, can pay their taxes and live knowing we kept our conscience clean.”

One step closer to defunding this detestable organization, and by extension, the politicos who receive campaign donations from the taxpayer.

I also wait for the postcard campaign conducted from the pew from the diocese thanking the president for his courageous move to defend the most vulnerable.

“One of the main purposes of the proposal is to shift federal funds from Planned Parenthood and other organizations that provide abortions to community and rural health centers, or otherwise pressure Planned Parenthood and other facilities to stop providing abortions.

The Family Research Council, an organization that opposes abortion, praised the rule and said Trump has “been persistent in fulfilling his pro-life campaign promises.”

“Planned Parenthood and other abortion centers will now have to choose between dropping their abortion services from any location that gets Title X dollars and moving those abortion operations offsite,” Tony Perkins, the group’s president, said in a statement. “Either way, this will loosen the group’s hold on tens of millions of tax dollars.”

“The rule reinstates President Ronald Reagan’s “Protect Life Rule,” which bars the “co-location” of federally funded family planning clinics with abortion clinics.

“President Trump’s HHS is taking a major step toward the ultimate goal of ending taxpayers’ forced partnership with the abortion industry,” said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins in a statement. “The finalized ‘protect life rule’ draws a bright line between abortion and family planning programs — just as the federal law requires and the Supreme Court has upheld.”

One does not bite the hand that feeds them. Will there be a postcard campaign from the pulpit thanking the Trumpster? No? Same reason as Casey’s response. “While Casey Jr. has remained nominally pro-life and repeatedly voted to ban late-term abortion, the senator has come under fire from pro-life groups over his continued support for federal funding for Planned Parenthood. Why should taxpayers pay for the murder of innocent babies? If you want to give money to planned parenthood do it out of our own pocket Mr. Casey! Apparently, he isn’t pro-life.
