XII Conclusion
The pursuit of the theological virtues yields the fruit of relationship with God. Fr. Phillipe states eloquently,
“God loves us in an absolutely unconditional way, by virtue of Himself, His mercy, and His infinite tenderness, by virtue of His Fatherhood toward us.
This experience produces a fundamental change in our Christian lives. It is an immense grace. The basis of our relationship to God no longer lies in us but wholly and exclusively in God (within spiritual poverty). Now we become fully free. When our relationship to God had God’s Fatherhood as its only foundation, it is safe from all harm.”[1]
Mature Christians (Therese called this her only treasure) rely on their hope in the boundless (Divine) Mercy of their Father God. Praise and thanksgiving for the blessings received. Trust and a search for the greater good God can draw out of times of suffering. This is interior freedom none can take.
God is Mercy, to embrace this, embrace what He wishes to send. True freedom choosing what one didn’t choose. Satan is duped. He chooses evil and then chose to take it.
Job wonderment what was lost and then restored, incredible mercy. Awe in heaven not only earthly joy but everything restored.
Behold I make all things new. Resurrection is truth of that hope.
