Dear Colleagues in the pursuit of truth,
I have exciting news to share. After many months of endeavor, I have both a video channel, Fides et Ratioon real.video and my first video uploaded. This is a new venture for me and I ask your patience as I sort the kinks out. Video is much different than writing, teaching in a classroom or presenting a lecture. Video does employ some of the same skills, script creation and organization immediately comes to mind, but unlike teaching which has a fixed time allotment and format, vlogging does not. I expect in time to find my ‘video style’. I am not sure if I will be able to go without an outline.
My first two videos, Welcome Video and Nuts & Bolts, explain the who, why, and how. Not only am I new to video channeling but real.video is a new platform for video channels, a competitor to YouTube. The opening score, Jupiter from thePlanet Suiteby Gustav Holst is our family’s theme song otherwise titled O God Beyond All Praising. The music seemed fitting for the venture I have set before myself. It is also quite fitting that my first video posted on the feast day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, July 16.
